A muse, in Greek mythology terms, is a goddess or spirit that inspire the creation of literature and art. In the modern day, a muse could appear in any form...a person you met, a story you heard, a place you visited, one thing leads to another and voila! A piece of art is born.
The muse for my latest creation was a surprise, even to me - Chanel's 2010 Autumn Winter Collection that I found in Vogue's September edition.
One word kept appearing in my mind afterwards - Midnight - and very aptly adopted for my latest work:

Chancing upon the rare exquisite vintage find at the flea market almost always makes the heart race, like stumbling upon a treasure trove before everyone else. Exactly my sentiments when I found these bursting onto my screen:
Inspired to plough away at my own piece, I collected gems in dusky pinks, light mauves, petite coral, smoky browns and tada! Here is the result of several weekends of hard work:
